Fragrant cheese, crispy baguettes, delicious pastries, and fresh seafood are just a few of the thing you will find in Galeries Lafayette’s trendy basement eatery.

But my all time favourite meal would have to be steak with garlic butter and pommes frites (French fries do you feel me?).

The magical thing about the Galeries Lafayette in Berlin is that it isn’t flooded with tourists like you’ll find at the same department store in the heart of Paris. It is kind of like an untapped source of endless tasty delights and wine…oh the wine! I counted five little bars on one level, talk about connivence! So after our delicious entrees we went in search of an intoxicating main…

A bottle of French champagne at Le Bar Blanc. Believe it or not you have to get in early to secure yourself a table or even a spot at the bar, during the week this place is busier than the Arc De Triomphe roundabout.

I sipped my glass of bubbles and pondered whether or not I should shave my annoying little baby hairs off like Kim Kardashian. What do you think?

One glass turned into two bottles and all of a sudden I felt as though I was dancing in the dark under the glow of the Eiffel Tower…

Oh no that’s just the brawny German security guard turning the lights off at the bar. Looks like it’s time to clear out, but before I could leave Paris I had to do one last thing…

I fell completely in love with this pink Furla bag and decided to take it back with me to Berlin.

Still no sign on any real men…

But a bottle of wine, a delicious steak, a designer handbag and an afternoon in Paris certainly has to be the next best thing.
